Thank you to everyone who supported, contributed and participated in our activities to commemorate the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims this year.

This is such an important day for RoadPeace where we stand together in support and solidarity, working towards the day when Vision Zero is achieved and no new names are added to our list of loved ones to be remembered.

Precious loved ones who have been killed in crashes are remembered and missed every day, but WDR gives us an opportunity to come together to remember as a community, and to highlight the terrible toll of road death and injury to decision makers and others who have within their power to make changes to prevent further injury, loss of life and suffering.

This year we commemorated 25 years of global observance and 15 years since the World Day was adopted by the UN, but because of Covid, all our services and activities to mark WDR took place online. This included all services, and for the first time a social media campaign to highlight the devastating toll of road death, the many many lives taken too soon and providing another way for families to remember their loved ones.
