Volunteer

If you have any spare time – from a few hours a month, to a more regular commitment – please consider volunteering for RoadPeace

Why volunteer for RoadPeace:

  • Gain valuable work experience in an NGO with a strong profile
  • Improve your skills
  • Help support road crash victims and work towards safer streets for all

There are lots of different ways to get involved, to suit all skills, experience and availability.

As well as learning valuable new skills, I have really enjoyed talking to and supporting the many members who take part in inspiring challenges to raise funds for RoadPeace. Highlights so far have included attending an event training day for the Royal Parks Half Marathon and helping out at the Team Townend Pushbike Challenge. If you can spare 25 hours, get involved! – RoadPeace volunteer

Support volunteers

We are always on the lookout for compassionate, dedicated volunteers to help deliver our vital support services. Our Helpline offers emotional support and practical guidance to anyone either bereaved or injured as a result of a road crash.

Our Befriender scheme is a hugely impactful support service that pairs recently bereaved or injured victims with one of our volunteer befrienders who have experienced a similar road death or injury. They then provide ongoing emotional support to the victim, sharing their experience and providing a listening ear. Full training and support is provided.

Office volunteers

If you have good IT and administrative skills and are able to make a regular time commitment to volunteer with us in our London office, we would like to hear from you.

For all of the above roles, please contact us for more information at info@roadpeace.org
