RoadPeace is delighted to welcome four new members of staff to our small but growing team, who will be working across three new projects.
Myles Cummins is our London Victims’ Voice Campaigner, working to amplify the victim’s voice in order to promote justice and safe transport.
Myles says:
With a long and varied background in campaigning across electoral politics, public affairs and digital campaigns, I have always fought for a fairer and more progressive society.
Outside of work I am an avid home cook, testing out new recipes whenever I can. On any given Saturday it’s likely you’ll find me watching football or out walking in nature somewhere.
Myles is full time and can be reached at myles.cummins@roadpeace.org
Emma Clare and Catherine Anderson are working in a job share as our new Road Victim Care Coordinator (London), as part of a new funded project by Transport for London to provide immediate and specialist support to crash victims in London.
Emma says:
Hi, I’m Emma, the new Road Victim Care Co-ordinator for London. I champion the wellness and adaptive capacity of young people, families, leaders, organisations and society, especially in the face of trauma and injustice.
I bring a wide and deep range of insights and tools to my role with RoadPeace from my work as a Coach, Play and Creative Arts Therapist, Restorative Justice Facilitator, Intermediary, Community Choir Conductor and TRE® (Trauma Release Exercises) Practitioner.
At the heart of my collaborative trauma-sensitive practice, I set conditions for healing fragmentation, and facilitating more joined-up and imaginative responses to our most pressing concerns.
My passions include: Peer-to-peer support and practice; post-traumatic growth; utilising the arts and regenerative land stewardship for healing and systems change.
Emma works Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and can be reached at emma.clare@roadpeace.org
Catherine says:
I am excited to join RoadPeace in a job share position as Road Victim Care Coordinator for London, and I just want to say how infectious everyone’s passion for RoadPeace is.
My background is that I am a newly qualified counsellor. My training so far has been around all 3 addictions categories, not just substance use. I work with addicts and family members of the addicts and co-facilitate groups for the family members. I have volunteered and supported women with substance abuse history for more than 20 years, helping them rebuild their lives. Within this & counselling, trauma has nearly always been at the route of issues. I am about to start volunteering also with RASASC a rape and sexual assault counselling services. So, a lot of new beginnings for me.
I look forward to working with people, supporting them through their difficult circumstances and maybe being able to make a small difference in their lives.
Catherine works Wednesdays and Thursdays and can be reached at catherine.anderson@roadpeace.org
