We are truly touched by the generosity and compassion of Mark and Helen Saltern, who are turning their grief into something incredibly meaningful.

After tragically losing their son Ryan in a hit-and-run crash, they are transforming part of their home into RysHaven – a free respite accommodation for families who have lost loved ones to road crime.

Mark and Helen know first hand how important it is to have a safe, peaceful space to gather your thoughts and grieve. By opening their home to others who are going through the same unimaginable pain, they are honouring Ryan’s memory in the most beautiful way.

RysHaven will be a sanctuary where families can find solace, comfort and a moment of peace during the darkest time of their lives. We applaud the Saltern family for their incredible kindness and for creating a positive legacy in honour of Ryan
