In this October edition, we reflect on the powerful work our volunteers have done, share their voices, and look ahead to what’s coming next in our journey for safer streets and remembrance.
Volunteer News & Appreciation
Celebrating Our Volunteers and NTA Award Success
We are incredibly proud to share that RoadPeace, in partnership with Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), has been recognised as a Winner at the NTA 2025 Awards for Excellence in Road Safety, Traffic Management, and Enforcement. This remarkable achievement was made possible through a dedicated collaboration between the RoadPeace West Midlands Group and TfWM, working together to tackle road danger and support families affected by road crashes. By courageously sharing victims’ stories, this project helps to humanise the statistics behind road deaths and serious injuries, inspiring safer behaviour from all road users.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who took part in this powerful campaign: Abbie Brooks, Diane Cash, Diane Gall, Stevie Booth, Jean Bates, Roger Bates, Colin Roberts, Mandy Gayle, Natty Cash, Lesley Bates, Sonia Gandham, and Lucy Harrison. Your compassion, courage, and commitment continue to make a real difference.
A very special thank you also goes to Darren Divall, Mark Corbin, and Aimee Dyer, whose leadership and support made this collaboration possible.

Thank You to Our Incredible Volunteers and Speakers at the Parliamentary Reception
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our incredible volunteers who supported the RoadPeace Parliamentary Reception at the House of Commons. Your dedication, compassion, and professionalism helped make the event such a success. From welcoming guests and guiding bereaved families, to assisting with logistics and sharing our message with parliamentarians, your efforts ensured the launch of The RoadPeace Guide for MPs was both meaningful and memorable.
We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to our inspiring speakers, Howard Jones, Chief Executive of RoadPeace; Sarah Coombes MP; and Sam Pointon, Amanda Cooper, Lucy Harrison, and Diane Gall whose powerful words moved everyone in attendance and reminded us all why this work matters so deeply.
Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without the passion of our volunteers, supporters, and speakers who continue to champion safer roads and justice for crash victims. Thank you for being at the heart of the RoadPeace community.

RoadPeace Creativity
“Take the love you had for me and turn it into gladness,
use the love you had for me to drive away the sadness.”
“Make my time on earth count loudly, so I’ve not lived in vain.
Use the love we shared to make more love and not more pain.”
