National charity RoadPeace will hold a Parliamentary Reception at the House of Commons on Wednesday 15 October 2025 to launch The RoadPeace Guide for MPs. The guide has been developed to help Members of Parliament and their casework teams provide support to constituents who have been bereaved or seriously injured in road crashes, while also offering practical ways for parliamentarians to contribute to the national effort to reduce road danger.
Every day, four people lose their lives and more than seventy are seriously injured on Britain’s roads. Behind each statistic is a family whose life has been profoundly affected. The RoadPeace Guide for MPs aims to equip parliamentarians with the knowledge, resources, and understanding needed to ensure their constituents receive justice, compassion, and practical support, while also assisting in the broader goal of preventing future road tragedies.
The guide itself has been generously sponsored by CFG and BrianBarr, who share RoadPeace’s commitment to supporting parliamentarians in this vital work. Their support ensures that MPs and their teams have access to a practical, high-quality resource to help families affected by road crashes.
The Parliamentary Reception, which brings together parliamentarians, bereaved families, campaigners, and legal professionals for an evening of discussion and networking, is sponsored by CFG and Leigh Day. Their backing highlights the importance of road safety and justice for crash victims, helping to create a platform for raising awareness and driving change.
Howard Jones, Chief Executive of RoadPeace, said:
“Members of Parliament play a crucial role in supporting constituents affected by road crashes and in helping to reduce road danger across the country. This guide provides them with practical tools and insights to take meaningful action — from offering support to bereaved families to contributing to national road safety initiatives. Behind every number on the road is a real person, a real family, and a real story, and MPs have a vital role in ensuring those voices are heard.”
The launch of the guide underscores RoadPeace’s ongoing mission to ensure that the voices of road crash victims and their families are central to policymaking, while providing parliamentarians with a practical resource to improve road safety and justice outcomes nationwide.
