Transport for London (TFL) have now launched dashboards which allow us to see the scale of road collisions in London, and the results are as shocking as they are unsurprising. They clearly show how desperately we need road danger reduction in the capital, and why we’re demanding action from those in power to implement it.
The RoadPeace and TFL dashboards, which you can access via the buttons below, both give a comprehensive insight into how road harm is impacting Londoners. The TFL dashboard highlights how inequalities affect how safe your streets are, and how much more likely you are to be involved in a collision if you’re from a poorer background or an area with higher deprivation.

The data is broken down street by street and borough by borough, allowing us to see what is happening in our own neighbourhoods. From September 2022 to September 2023, 90 people were killed in collisions in London. In the same time period, there were 3,674 people seriously injured.
Our combined voice calling for road danger reduction has been effective up to now, but more needs to be done. Will you join our campaign for Vision Zero in London? Our Victims’ Voice campaign will support all efforts to move to Vision Zero and we have lots of plans to amplify the voices and experiences of victims.
We know this will exclude some of us from being able to participate in the campaign, but there is a real opportunity to have a long-lasting, positive impact in London, which we hope will be replicated all around the country. When the moment comes for a campaign in other cities, we’ll be campaigning just as persistently when that chance arises.
We’ve got lots of ways to get involved to suit all experiences and levels of interest, allowing you to contribute in any way you would like. But, to make the impact we want, helping to reduce road danger and promote active travel, we’ll need as many of us coming together to contribute to the campaign as possible.
So, if you find the level of collisions in London unacceptable, will you join the campaign to help amplify Victims’ Voices so we can drastically reduce road harm?
Please email Myles, myles.cummins@roadpeace.org, if you’d like to support the campaign
Over the next year, we’ll need people for activities such as:
- Meeting with decision-makers, sharing your experiences to influence policy
- Participating in awareness training sessions and public events
- Attending webinars
- Growing their campaigning skill set to be an even more effective advocate for road danger reduction
By saying you’ll join the campaign, you’ll be undertaking an integral role in speaking up for those killed and injured in crashes, coming together in our hundreds to share our experiences to and be heard by those in charge of making London’s streets safer – that we need a serious action taken to reduce road danger, and we won’t be silenced until we see that delivered.
Will you join the fight to achieve Vision Zero by joining the campaign? We’ll be in touch shortly to keep you updated.
Please email Myles, myles.cummins@roadpeace.org, to say you’re in for the campaign
