Created by the RoadPeace West Midlands Group in collaboration with Slater & Gordon
As part of Grief Awareness Week (Tuesday 2 December to Monday 8 December 2025) the RoadPeace West Midlands Group has released a powerful series of five short videos exploring the impact of road deaths and serious injuries. Each film offers a deeply personal perspective from those who live every day with the consequences of road harm bereaved families, seriously injured, and those who support them.
Road deaths are sudden, violent, and preventable. The grief that follows is often complex and isolating. Through this series, RoadPeace aims to shed light on the hidden realities of road crash bereavement and the importance of specialist support, understanding, and justice.
The videos, created in collaboration with Slater & Gordon, feature moving testimonies and reflections that raise awareness of:
- “How Has Your Grief Changed?”
- “Comments That Showed People Didn’t Understand”
- “Comments That Helped”
- “What You Wish People Would Understand”
- “What People Said or Did in the Aftermath of Your Loved One’s Death That Helped”
Each story represents not just personal heartbreak, but a collective call for change. By sharing these voices, RoadPeace hopes to reach those who are grieving, let them know they are not alone, and encourage society to take road danger seriously.
We invite you to watch and share these videos during Grief Awareness Week, and to stand with us in supporting all road crash victims and working toward a future where no family has to endure such preventable tragedy.
