Avon and Somerset Constabulary has announced an intense five-day fundraising itinerary in support of the RoadPeace Andy Cox Challenge 2022.
The force Roads Policing and Road Safety Units are planning a cycle challenge across the county from force headquarters and back, covering more than 250 miles.
In the Avon and Somerset force area over the last 8 years, the number of road fatalities have plateaued to just over 50 a year.
To symbolise this, the team will cycle at least 50 miles every day
Our itinerary is:
DAY 1 – Force HQ to Bridgwater PFI 51 miles (Stage leader: Damien Devanny)
DAY 2 – Bridgwater PFI to Dulverton 55 miles (Stage leader: PC Dan Cox)
DAY 3 – Dulverton to Yeovil/Stoford 55 miles (Stage leader: Insp. Andy Barry)
DAY 4 – Yeovil/Stoford to Bath 50 miles (Stage leader: Sgt. Andy Parsons)
DAY 5 – Bath to Force HQ 52 miles (Stage leader: C/Insp. Jason Shears)
