Last Wednesday, we held our Befriender group supervision at the Slater and Gordon offices in London. Slater & Gordon kindly provided our befrienders with training around the role of an Family Liaison Officer, the Investigative process and civil compensation proceedings. The training was very informative and provided our befrienders with information and guidance to better support people who receive our ongoing support.

A befriender is a member of RoadPeace who offers continuing telephone support to callers referred by the RoadPeace helpline. Telephone befriending ensures that people who have been bereaved or injured in a crash can be put in touch with someone who really does know how they feel, wherever they are calling from.
