“For RoadPeace and road crash victims, August is such a poignant month for all. RoadPeace have their 30th Anniversary and their work and support so many of us can recall. When you lose someone in a road crash and you don’t know how to go on, RoadPeace is a life line and their support is second to none.
August is National Road Victim month and this resonates with people all over the world. Even so, there are still 5 deaths a day on the roads and this needs to be heard. The world felt a loss when Princess Diana was kill in a fatal crash on August 31st and this was 25 years ago in 2022. The world still hurts, for that is what road crashes do in an instant they affect so many hard. This is why RoadPeace keep fighting for safer roads around the world.
They helped me so much on my journey, which is 13 years ago on August 29th 2022. It was RoadPeace who paid tribute to Dominique and who helped me through. So remembering the first road victim – Mary Ward in August 1869 – when on the road, we have to think of our choices and speak up for our loved one who were killed on the roads – for now we are their voices.”
