Resilience Building Support Programme in London, Autumn 2009
This unique programme has been developed for RoadPeace to provide coping skills for those who have been bereaved by road crashes. The pilot takes place this Autumn, in London.
Background
The course was originally designed for survivors of traumas world-wide (e.g. the Tsunami) and has been adapted for people bereaved by road death.
The sessions involve small groups working with certified trauma therapists and aim to provide participants with a tool box of skills to help them cope with stress, negative thoughts, anxiety, panic attacks, sleeplessness and nightmares, all natural reactions to an unnatural death.
Who should attend
This kind of support is going to be most beneficial for people who have been bereaved in the last two years. However we will consider applications individually, so if you would like to attend and have lost someone prior to this, then do get in touch.
Dates and Times
The programme starts on Tuesday 29 September 2009 and runs from 18.30 - 20.00 for six weekly sessions. London Underground have provided rooms at the head office near St James's Park. This is a ten minute walk from Victoria.
We have received funding from an Awards for All lottery grant so there is no charge for attending.
