Support for victims
RoadPeace provides emotional and practical support to anyone bereaved or injured in a road crash.
Over 30,000 people are killed or seriously injured every year in Britain and there are over 250,000 road casualties in total - we are here for all these people as well as anyone else who may be affected.
There are many ways in which we provide support to victims - one of the main ways is through our national helpline. The Helpline provides emotional and practical support to victims and is open from 9am-9pm 7 days a week. This is the first port of call for many people and it remains a central part of the work we do.

As well as the helpline, RoadPeace provides support in the following ways:
- through our Befrienders network where you can be put in touch with someone who has been through a similar experience
- through our Information Sheets which provide up-to-date information on a wide variety of topics relating to road crashes
- through our 8 local groups
- by helping and supporting any member campaigns. Although we cannot campaign on individual cases, we are here to provide you with guidance
- by providing ways of remembrance (including the World Day of Remembrance, roadside memorials, internet memorials, RoadPeace wood)
More information on all of the above can be found on this website. You can also telephone the helpline for more details.
