The guided hike will be led by Iris and her friend Kasia, both of whom are trained and qualified Mountain Leaders. Iris has lost someone in a road crash, and have supported Brake over the years. Iris is also the RoadPeace East Midlands Support Group Coordinator.
This year’s hike has a non-refundable £36 registration fee, and includes the following:
• A custom designed t-shirt for the hiking event by Selekt. This company prides themselves on producing eco-friendly, sustainable, technical clothing from material that is either organic or recycled. Iris has been working with Selekt to create an amazing t-shirt for the event, exclusive to the Grief Trail Project participants.
• Hand-made, natural soap bar from Pure and Fair. Their soaps are made from sustainable and natural ingredients such as shea butter, coconut oil and olive oil, combined with botanicals and essential oils. They contain no artificial additives, palm oil or any other hidden nasties.
• Some goodies from Brake and RoadPeace
To secure your place, you will need to reserve one ticket per person here, and pay the registration fee to confirm your place. There is a maximum of 14 people for this event. This year, all the fundraising will occur on one platform. This will be shared with you once registration has been confirmed. In 2021, the event raised over £4000 to support Brake and RoadPeace. This year, the goal is £5000 which will be shared with each charity equally.
