RoadPeace is joining with charities across the nation to take part in a new campaign to raise vital funds to help to save the UK’s charities – The 2.6 Challenge.
Members and supporters are being invited to take part from Sunday 26 April to support RoadPeace.
It’s very easy to get involved! All you need to do is to take part in an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to support RoadPeace via the website twopointsixchallenge.co.uk.
People of all ages are taking part with a host of activities – from walking, running or cycling 2.6 miles, juggling for 2.6 minutes, doing 26 press ups, gardening or taking your dog for a walk for 26 minutes, doing 26 bunny hops, baking 26 cupcakes to holding online workouts with 26 friends. The ideas and options are endless! There’s loads of ideas here.
The only requirement is to follow Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing.
It’s very easy to set up a fundraising page or make a donation of £26 to RoadPeace at JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving.
Most people are taking part from Sunday 26 April but activities can take place whenever convenient.
There are just five simple steps to take:
1. Dream up your 2.6 challenge – if you need help there are lots of ideas here
2. Head to the 2.6 Challenge website (either this page or this page) to donate £26 – or whatever you can afford – to RoadPeace or to set up a fundraising page
3. Ask all your friends and family to sponsor you and challenge them to do their own 2.6 Challenge
4. Complete your challenge
5. Share a photo or video of your challenge on social media with #TwoPointSixChallenge and make sure you include @roadpeace too so we can (virtually) cheer you on
