The theme for this year’s World Day of Remembrance is “Roads have stories”
And it’s certainly true that those stories are often tragic ones. It’s important to connect crash statistics with the stories they represent, as otherwise it’s easy to become numb to their meaning.
The human impact has been have artistically represented in the WDR film:
There are five lives lost on average on the roads in Britain every day, and that means five families torn apart as a result.
Remembrance is a key part of recognising the devastation caused, and we invite all members of the public to attend one of our services.
