RoadPeace is pleased to announce the launch of a new National Injured Support Group, providing a dedicated space for those who have experienced life-changing injuries from road collisions.
Starting on Friday November 15th at 4pm, the group will meet online every third Friday of the month, offering participants a chance to share, connect and support each other through their recovery journeys.
The group will be led by coordinator Kate Theedom and facilitator Karen McRitchie, both of whom bring personal experiences of serious injury to their roles. Their understanding of the long-term impact of collisions is at the heart of this group, ensuring a compassionate and empowering environment.
Meet Kate
Kate (pictured above) was involved in a serious car crash during the first Covid lockdown in May 2020. After many surgeries and a long road to recovery, Kate now spends her days walking miles with her dog and enjoying time with her family, hobbies and her work in special education.
She’s excited to bring her personal insight to the group, hoping to support others in their journey to recovery.
If you or someone you know has been injured in a collision, RoadPeace invites you to learn more about joining this group by contacting their helpline at 0800 160 1069 or emailing helpline@roadpeace.org
