After careful consideration, Kate Davidson MBE is stepping down as CEO of RoadPeace. Her decision to depart so soon after assuming the role was not made lightly and is the result of unforeseen circumstances.
However, we are delighted to announce an exciting new appointment. Howard Jones (above), who has held roles as the CEO of Born Free and as the Development Director of the Eden Project in Cornwall, now becomes the interim CEO of RoadPeace on a one-year contract.
In addition to an impressive career, Howard has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Plymouth for the impact of his community and social justice work.
He is currently a board member for Battling On, a charity supporting people with multiple and complex needs, a member of the Academy of Urbanism, a member of the Sustainable Earth Institute and a patron of the Endangered Species Protection Agency.
Howard understands the practices around working with volunteers and strongly subscribes to the idea of getting things in order whilst bringing the team with him.
We are excited to have Howard on board and we look forward to all that RoadPeace can achieve with him at the helm over the coming year.
