RoadPeace is excited to be supporting RoadPeace member Iris Yee in a new venture of running free guided hikes for people who have been bereaved or injured by a road crash.
The hikes will be led by Iris and Sara, two Lowland Walking Leaders who have both suffered a bereavement from a road crash, and who have experience supporting others in the same situation.
Hikes will be in lowland areas across the U.K. The main aim of the hikes are to offer a safe place to walk, meet others who have also been bereaved or affected by a road crash, and discover the healing power of nature. You are welcome to bring a family member or friend with you.
This is a twelve month funded project from the SayYesMore grant, and is supported by RoadPeace the national charity for road crash victims and Brake, the road safety charity.
Hikes are due to take place on the last Sunday every two months, starting in November, with the final, fundraising hike set for September 2021. The dates for the hikes are:
Sunday November 29, 2020
Sunday January 21, 2021
Sunday March 28, 2021
Sunday May 30, 2021
Sunday July 25, 2021
Sunday September 26, 2021
Iris and Sara are running a trial hike on Sunday 4th October in Northamptonshire at Titchmarsh Nature Reserve in Aldwincle.
