Grief
We will all experience great grief in life,
together with troubles, pain and strife.
We all react to it in many different ways,
In what we feel, what we think, what we say.
Some are angry, in denial, feel guilty or sad,
some take it easy while others just feel mad.
Unless you’ve experienced it you simply cannot know,
what life’s like when one you love suffers death’s cruel blow.
Each day without our loved one brings great pain,
because in this life we will never meet again.
You cannot ever understand how we feel,
how our deep hurt and pain is truly real.
All our days feel empty, we feel so alone,
because we haven’t hearts of unfeeling stone.
We’ve been robbed of our loved person’s love,
till we are reunited with joy in heaven above.
Our memories are old; they’re not here to make any new,
initially, times of feeling happy and joyful are painfully few.
If they want to have a chat, loyal friends should take heed,
and be there for their dear friend should he have a need.
So, dear reader, please be patient and show you care,
to grieving family and friends and for them to just be there
