We’re incredibly proud to share that George Nickless is taking on the AJ Bell Great Manchester Run 2025 in support of RoadPeace running in memory of Joe, who tragically lost his life in a road collision.
George is running to raise both awareness and vital funds for RoadPeace, the national charity for road crash victims. Every step he takes is not only a tribute to Joe’s memory, but also a stand for safer roads and stronger support for bereaved families.
Road collisions change lives in an instant. For those left behind, the impact is devastating. At RoadPeace, we work to ensure that victims’ voices are heard, that justice is pursued, and that no one has to navigate loss and trauma alone.
By fundraising for RoadPeace, George is helping us continue our work from providing peer support and advocacy, to campaigning for meaningful change in road danger reduction and justice reform.
George’s run is deeply personal. He’s not only running in Joe’s name, but also in solidarity with every family who has experienced the pain of losing someone on the roads. His dedication reminds us of the power of community, and the importance of turning grief into action.
How You Can Help

Please join us in cheering George on and helping him reach his fundraising goal. Together, we can honour Joe’s memory and help build a safer future on our roads.
