Ceremony of Remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum 2025

August 9 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The RoadPeace Wood was planted at the National Memorial Arboretum, in Staffordshire, in memory of all road crash victims.  Planting of trees began in Spring 2001 and the Wood was dedicated on 10 August 2002.  Since then, every year on the second Saturday of August, during National Road Victim month, a Ceremony of Remembrance has been held. In 2020 and 2021, these services were held online due to Covid-19 restrictions. In August 2021, RoadPeace installed a new memorial stone dedicated to crash victims, crafted by renowned carver and artist Martin Cook who has made pieces for Westminster Abbey, the British Museum, the Royal Family, and the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.  The stone was donated by England’s last working slate mine, Honister Slate Mine, based in the Lake District.  2025 sees the 23rd Ceremony of Remembrance.
