Earlier this month, Diane Gall, a valued member of the RoadPeace West Midlands Group, had the privilege of meeting with key figures in transport and law enforcement to discuss vital road danger issues.
Diane was invited to accompany Sarah Coombes MP to meet Heidi Alexander, the Secretary of State for Transport, in West Bromwich to discuss the growing issue of street racing.
Diane was joined by Simon Foster, the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, and representatives from Sandwell Council. During the meeting, Diane shared her personal experiences and those of other RoadPeace members, highlighting the impact of road crashes on families and communities.
Reflecting on the meeting, Diane said: “I felt listened to and heard and look forward to RoadPeace continuing to work with these agencies.”
This meeting marks an important step in RoadPeace’s ongoing efforts to engage with policymakers and local authorities to address road harm and support those affected by crashes.
