We hope you can join us at our annual Ceremony of Remembrance at the RoadPeace Wood on Saturday 10th August. The RoadPeace Wood was dedicated in 2002 and offers a space of reflection for those who have been bereaved through road crashes.

This year, the service will be held in the Oak Suite of the Aspects Building at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alweras, Staffordshire, DE13 7AR. The ceremony will commence at 2pm. However, you are welcome to arrive earlier than this to take some time to explore the Arboretum.
Buggies will be available from 12:30pm to take guests to and from the RoadPeace Wood, for moments of quiet reflection. Following the ceremony, refreshments will be served, and there will be further time to visit the RoadPeace Wood, for those who wish to.

The ceremony will include:
- The stories of some of our RoadPeace members
- Music and poetry
- An Act of Remembrance led by representatives of our emergency services
- Time to talk with others who share similar experiences
Act of Remembrance and RSVP
If you are able to attend please email Lucy by Friday 2nd August, 2024.
During the ceremony, the emergency services will read out the names of those being remembered. If you would like to remember a loved one in this way, please submit their name to Lucy by 2nd August.
You may also choose to include their age, date of death or a short tribute. These can be submitted on the day, but it is helpful to us to receive them in advance, where possible. You are welcome to submit a tribute whether or not you can attend.
If you have any additional needs we should be aware of, please do email us to let us know as soon as possible.
Getting to the National Memorial Arboretum
The National Memorial Arboretum (NMA) is on the A38 between Lichfield and Burton-on-Trent. The grounds are open between 10am – 5pm. Restaurant and picnic facilities are available. Entry to the NMA is free.
We advise that parking is pre-booked via this link, for a cost of £4 (it is £6 on the day).
We hope you can join us for this important and poignant day, as we come together to remember our loved ones during National Road Victim Month and to support one another.
