How your support helps
RoadPeace relies on the hard work and generosity of its members and supporters. We need your help to continue our work.
But we think it is important that you know how your support helps and what difference it can bring to other people.
Five a Day
During 2010 five families a day were bereaved by road crashes in Great Britain. While it is good news that this is the lowest ever recorded figure, we cannot forget the extent of loss that comes with these deaths, every day. That is why RoadPeace will continue in its work to support families and friends of those killed or injured and to fight against the continued injustices faced.
With your support, RoadPeace can continue to :
- run its national helpline, a vital first point of contact for many of the people injured or bereaved because of a road crash.
- offer one-to-one practical and emotional support from of a team of befrienders. These are volunteers who have themselves been injured or bereaved and who can offer real understanding at a time when it is most needed
- develop its resilience building support programme which began in London during 2009 and which it hopes to extend to more locations.
- offer opportunities to remember loved ones through roadside memorials Remember Me plaques, World Day of Remembrance activities, the RoadPeace Wood, and our internet memorial Remember Me.
